BAM art is pleased to present IMAGINED a solo exhibition by artist Boris Minkovsky. This exhibition will feature twenty-three acrylic paintings on canvas and some small-scale sculptures, all created in the last four years. Minkovsky painting process involves ritual sessions where his fetish for materials, tools, and the act of painting are embraced and celebrated in cathartic bursts. Working on multiple paintings at once, Minkovsky splashes, stains, brushes, and drags paint across the canvas's surfaces—hitting each note of color with speed, softness, and restraint manifesting in energetic riffs and chords. Boris Minkovsky was born in Czernowitz, Ukraine, and currently lives and works in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
